Day 31: Halloween in Etosha

Picture: Springbok crowding in the shade to avoid the overwhelming heat (over 100F)

Second day in Etosha...

Today we saw a jackal attack a springbok and start to eat it alive. It's screams were horrible and I told the guide I'd seen enough (I always root for the vegetarian). We also saw a kudu get stuck neck-deep in mud at a water hole. The guide said he would surely die. On the "plus" side of life, we also saw mating lions and a very pregnant zebra.
